My client is looking for an experienced Femto RAN Test Engineer to join their team in Bellevue, WA. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in 4G/5G SA/NSA Femto testing, network integration, and PCAP log analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work on Femto integration into the client’s network and take ownership of functional, performance, and security testing.
- Perform RAN testing and validation, including regression, functional, performance, and stability testing.
- Execute commissioning and integration of RAN-related hardware to the core network via IPSEC gateway.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams for technical support and troubleshooting.
- Validate and prepare test cases and system documentation.
- Monitor system performance and analyze deviations to maintain network efficiency.
- Implement and test new software and maintenance loads.
- Support lab/pilot/FOA planning and validation of new hardware and software.
- Conduct interoperability testing with third-party products.
- Investigate and resolve customer issues through on-site or remote support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of 5G (SA/NSA), LTE, VoNR, and VoLTE platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, or Information Systems.
- 2-6 years of experience in RAN Engineering for 4G/5G networks.
- Expertise in Radio Network Commissioning and Integration.
- Experience with Small Cells/Femto, Security IPSEC, AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting), HDM (Home Device Manager), and SAM (Service Area Manager) nodes.
- Hands-on experience in gNodeB & UE log analysis and end-to-end network troubleshooting.
- Experience with field testing tools such as TM500 (UE simulator), Keysight/Anritsu, and other lab simulators.
- Strong understanding of LTE, VoLTE, and 5G VoNR L2/L3 call flows and ability to analyze PCAP and network traces.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA.
- Self-motivated with strong reporting and communication skills.
