SFDC Developer – Job Description
We are hiring a skilled and experienced SFDC Developer for a long-term opportunity with United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS) in Alpharetta, GA. This position requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and hands-on development experience across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, and Service Cloud.
The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of Salesforce development experience, strong technical acumen in building reusable and scalable components, and a strong understanding of Salesforce integration patterns, platform limits, and DevOps best practices. Experience with Flosum, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps is a plus.
This is a collaborative role that involves working with onshore teams, architects, and product owners to build enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions. You will participate in technical design sessions, sprint development cycles, UAT support, and ongoing enhancements.
SFDC Developer – Key Responsibilities

Analyze and translate business requirements into scalable and performant Salesforce solutions

Design and develop robust, reusable components using Apex, LWC, Aura, and Visualforce

Build Salesforce automation using Flows, Workflow Rules, Process Builder, Approval Processes, and Formulas

Integrate Salesforce with third-party and legacy systems using REST and SOAP APIs, OAuth, and Single Sign-On (SSO)

Ensure all development aligns with Salesforce platform best practices and respects governor limits

Perform data operations using Data Loader and manage metadata migrations with Flosum, Jenkins, or ANT

Participate in team design discussions, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies

Author and maintain clear technical documentation including design specs and deployment runbooks

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance and production issues

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and deployment teams for end-to-end solution delivery
SFDC Developer – Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 6 years of Salesforce development experience

At least 4 years of hands-on Lightning Component experience (Aura and LWC)

Strong understanding of Service Cloud processes including Lead to Opportunity, Task Management, Sales Path, Forecasting, and Custom Buttons

Proficiency in Apex classes, Apex triggers, SOQL, SOSL, and Lightning development

Experience configuring Salesforce platform components such as objects, page layouts, permission sets, profiles, flows, and validation rules

Proven experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using JSON, XML, SOAP, and REST

Familiarity with AppExchange solutions, multilingual support, and Salesforce Translations
