Position Overview
The Azure Data Engineer will be responsible for creating and managing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing solutions that leverage Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and other Azure services. This role is crucial for our data-driven initiatives and will involve collaboration with various teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Azure Data Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop data engineering pipelines using ELT/ETL frameworks on the Azure Data Platform.
- Architect solutions using Azure Data Bricks and Informatica platforms, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Implement Databricks ETL processes and develop REST API services.
- Utilize knowledge of Synapse, Databricks, stored procedures, and PL/SQL to enhance data processing capabilities.
- Apply Kimball’s methodology, ITIL operating model, and data quality concepts to ensure effective data management.
- Develop scripts in Python, Data Frames, and Shell to automate data processes.
Mandatory Skills
- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Experience with REST API development and Synapse Analytics.
- Strong knowledge of Data Bricks and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services.
- Familiarity with ITIL operating models and data quality concepts.
- Proficient in Python, Data Frames, and Shell scripting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
