Role summary for Senior ServiceNow Leader
We are hiring a Senior ServiceNow Leader in Trenton NJ for a hybrid engagement expected to run 12 months or longer. This role drives operational excellence through ServiceNow strategy, IT asset optimization and enterprise discovery. You will lead platform design, development and integrations while ensuring alignment to ITIL processes and measurable business outcomes.
Senior ServiceNow Leader responsibilities
As the Senior ServiceNow Leader you will:

Administer and configure ServiceNow modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, CMDB, Service Catalog and Knowledge Management

Lead custom development efforts using JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer and ServiceNow Studio to build applications, workflows and integrations

Architect and maintain API integrations using REST or SOAP between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems

Drive process optimization with IT and business partners to automate workflows and improve service delivery and user experience

Oversee IT asset optimization and enterprise discovery efforts to ensure reliable CMDB population and CI reconciliation

Plan and execute version upgrades and patches with clear rollback plans to minimize operational impact

Implement role based access controls and monitor platform performance to meet security and compliance expectations

Produce technical documentation and user guides, and lead training for administrators and end users
Required qualifications for Senior ServiceNow Leader

Minimum 4 years of hands on ServiceNow administration and development experience

Strong working knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices for incident, problem, change and asset lifecycle management

Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer and ServiceNow Studio for custom application development

Experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems using REST or SOAP web services
-
Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and deliver scalable solutions
Preferred qualifications and skills
-
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator CSA and Certified Implementation Specialist CIS for ITSM, ITOM or HRSD are preferred

Experience with ITOM Discovery, Event Management or Performance Analytics is a plus

Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies and working in iterative delivery cycles

Strong analytical skills and experience with platform governance and roadmap planning
