About the AutoCAD Engineer I Role

Key Responsibilities of the AutoCAD Engineer I
Engineering Design and Standards Development
Develop, update and revise engineering standards, specifications and design criteria using MicroStation CAD software. Ensure engineering documentation aligns with operational and project requirements.
Technical Analysis and Engineering Support
Apply engineering principles to support technical analysis, system evaluations and infrastructure planning activities. Assist teams with engineering problem-solving and technical coordination.
Ensure Compliance with Industry Standards
Ensure all engineering designs and documentation comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements including:
- NESC
- ANSI
- ASTM
- IEEE
- ERCOT
- NERC
Support Project Execution
Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure and operations teams to support planning, implementation and project execution activities across utility environments.
Prepare Engineering Documentation
Create technical reports, design documentation, specifications and engineering drawings to support project communication and execution.
Troubleshoot Technical Challenges
Assist in identifying engineering and infrastructure-related issues while helping recommend effective technical solutions.
