Interview Coaching
You have done the work. Now learn to explain it with confidence.
Interview coaching helps you talk about your experience clearly, back it up with real examples and show the value you would bring to the role you want.
Coaching from someone who has spent more than 18 years on the hiring side of the table.
Common challenges
Strong candidates still struggle in interviews.
Having the experience is one thing. Explaining it under pressure is another. These are the problems I see most often.
Explaining achievements
You know what you did, but it comes out as a list of tasks instead of the difference you made.
Behavioural questions
"Tell me about a time when…" questions catch people off guard and answers drift.
Structuring examples
Good stories lose their impact without a clear beginning, middle and result.
Communicating confidently
Nerves or underselling make solid experience sound smaller than it is.
What’s included
What we work on together.
Coaching is shaped around your target role and your real experience. Depending on what you need, it can include:
Interview preparation
We look at the role you are targeting and the questions you are likely to face.
Answer structuring
We turn your experience into clear, evidence-based answers using STAR and SOAR.
Practice and feedback
You practise your answers and get direct, honest feedback on content and delivery. Mock interviews are available as an add-on.
1:1 video sessions
A personal session over Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, with clear next steps at the end.
STAR and SOAR
Two simple frameworks for clear, evidence-based answers.
Interviewers want proof, not claims. These frameworks help you tell a complete story in a few minutes and end on the result that matters.
STAR
Best for most behavioural questions.
- SituationThe context you were working in.
- TaskWhat you were responsible for.
- ActionThe specific steps you took.
- ResultWhat changed because of your actions.
SOAR
Useful when the story is about overcoming a challenge.
- SituationThe context and what was at stake.
- ObstacleThe problem or constraint you faced.
- ActionHow you worked through it.
- ResultThe outcome and what you learned.
We build your answers from examples in your own career, so they sound like you and not like a script.

FAQs
Questions people ask before we start.
Can you guarantee I will get the job?
No. I can’t promise a job offer or interview success. What I can do is help you explain your experience clearly and walk in better prepared.
What are STAR and SOAR?
They are simple frameworks for structuring answers. STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action and Result. SOAR stands for Situation, Obstacle, Action and Result. Both help you give complete, evidence-based answers.
How are sessions held?
Sessions are one-to-one over Zoom, Teams or Google Meet.
How much does interview coaching cost?
A Mock Interview is available as an add-on for $99. Other coaching is scoped around your goals, and we agree on the details before any work starts.
Do executives get interview preparation?
Yes. The Executive Career Plan can include job strategy, interview prep and mock interviews as optional parts of the engagement.
Should I update my resume before coaching?
It helps if your resume reflects your experience accurately, because interviewers often ask about it. If it needs work, we can talk about that too.
