About the DevOps Engineer Role
As a DevOps Engineer II, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing development operations that enable seamless delivery across multiple platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline code management, improve automation, and enhance system reliability.
This position requires expertise in GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, scripting, and security best practices. You will also be expected to contribute leadership skills to guide engineering teams and support complex project deliveries.
Key Responsibilities for DevOps Engineer
- Oversee and maintain version control systems including GitHub, GitHub Actions, ADI, and Subversion (SVN).
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Integrate version control systems into development pipelines.
- Implement security best practices for source code management.
- Manage branching strategies, versioning, and merge conflict resolution.
- Write and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Configure and implement new DevOps tools as needed.
- Apply knowledge of code quality tools and practices.
- Support cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Contribute to containerization and orchestration efforts using Docker and Kubernetes.
