About the Network Architect Role
We are looking for a seasoned Sr. Network Architect to lead enterprise network strategy and execution. This remote role requires deep expertise in Cisco technologies such as ACI, Wireless, DNA Center (DNAC), Identity Services Engine (ISE), and Firepower Threat Defense (FTD). You will also work with Azure Cloud, DevOps practices, and automation to ensure secure, scalable, and future-ready infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities for Network Architect
As a Sr. Network Architect, you will:

Architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade Cisco networking solutions across wireless, security, and identity platforms

Provide oversight and governance of network initiatives, ensuring alignment with IT and security strategies

Develop and maintain high-level and low-level designs, future-state roadmaps, and topology standards

Define best practices for policies, procedures, and baseline configurations

Create operational playbooks and runbooks for consistent network operations

Act as a senior liaison with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to drive successful integration and delivery

Lead optimization and transformation projects leveraging Cisco DNAC, ISE, and FTD

Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams

Stay updated on industry trends to ensure modern, secure, and efficient network solutions
Required Skills and Technologies

Strong expertise in Cisco Wireless solutions

Proficiency with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) for automation and assurance

Deep knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for identity and access control

Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) for advanced security

Experience building and deploying on Azure including vHubs, vNets, gateways, BGP, VPNs, and ExpressRoute

Familiarity with AI scripts and DevOps-driven automation
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent certifications and experience)

8+ years of enterprise network engineering and architecture experience
