Job Overview

We are looking for an Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll Lead for a contract position. The role is remote but based out of Rochester, NY, and requires strong hands-on expertise in payroll and related HCM modules. If you are Oracle certified with proven experience in full-cycle implementations or application support, this role will allow you to lead payroll-focused solutions that meet both statutory and client-specific requirements.

This position is open to GC or USC candidates on a C2C model, with the flexibility to work remotely while maintaining close collaboration with clients.

Key Responsibilities of an Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll Lead

  • Engage with clients to understand their business processes and payroll operations.

  • Conduct requirements workshops independently and document business needs.

  • Lead solutioning efforts using Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll applications.

  • Integrate HCM Core, Absence, Time and Labor, and Benefits into payroll processing.

  • Provide guidance on statutory requirements and ensure Oracle functionality aligns with compliance standards.

  • Apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills to research and resolve payroll challenges.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide clear, actionable solutions.

  • Work with project teams, developers, and business leaders to ensure payroll solutions are delivered on time.

  • Support clients during testing and rollout of payroll-related changes.

  • Be flexible in working longer hours when needed to meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Oracle Certification in one or more HCM modules.

  • Minimum three full-cycle implementation projects or equivalent application support in Payroll and Time & Labor.

  • Strong understanding of payroll statutory requirements and Oracle’s functionalities to meet them.

  • Experience with Absence, Time and Labor, Benefits, and HCM Core modules.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US or Canada.

  • Ability to work from client offices when required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, professional demeanor.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
