About the QA Automation Engineer Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Contract QA Automation Engineer for a 3-month project based in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX. This hybrid role requires one day onsite per week and is open to U.S. Citizens only, as per client policy.

In this role, you will take ownership of test automation and quality assurance for a growing platform. Your work will directly impact product reliability, speed of delivery, and customer satisfaction.

This contract may be extended based on performance and project needs. Interviews will be conducted in one or two quick rounds with a fast turnaround time.

Required Skills – QA Automation Engineer

  • Strong hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, or pytest

  • Proficiency in Python (preferred), Java, or JavaScript

  • Extensive API testing experience including REST, GraphQL, and gRPC

  • CI/CD experience with tools like Jenkins or GitLab

  • Database testing skills with SQL and NoSQL systems

  • Familiarity with data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV

  • Exposure to cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities

  • Agile team collaboration and communication skills


Responsibilities – QA Automation Engineer

  • Build and maintain scalable automated test frameworks

  • Write and execute test cases for regression, performance, integration, and functional testing

  • Work with developers and product managers to define quality strategies

  • Conduct manual testing where needed for edge cases and exploratory validation

  • Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines

  • Track bugs, defects, and performance issues

  • Document test plans and create detailed QA reports

  • Attend and contribute to Agile ceremonies

  • Participate in platform training to gain full system knowledge


Eligibility

  • U.S. Citizenship required (no visa sponsorship available)

  • Local or willing to travel to the Dallas–Fort Worth area once a week


Preferred Qualifications – QA Automation Engineer

  • Experience in high-volume web or mobile environments

  • Familiarity with testing microservices-based architecture

  • QA certification (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus
