About the SDET Test Lead Role
We are hiring a seasoned SDET Test Lead for an exciting onsite opportunity in Irving, Texas. The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of experience in automation testing, particularly in Python and Selenium, and has a strong grasp of API/Webservices Testing. This role is well-suited for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently while mentoring junior team members.
You will play a key role in developing and executing testing strategies across various media applications. Prior experience with video domain testing, STB testing, or performance testing tools like WitBe and JMeter is considered an advantage.
Please Note: Only candidates who have not been submitted to HCL in the last 3 months will be considered.
Key Responsibilities – SDET Test Lead

Lead API/Webservices testing efforts across the development lifecycle.

Define and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test case documentation.

Design and implement automation frameworks using Selenium and Python.

Coordinate closely with developers and product teams to ensure application quality.

Guide and mentor junior SDETs and QA engineers on testing practices.

Conduct regular test reviews, identify issues, and troubleshoot defects in functionality.

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and stand-ups.

Collaborate with DevOps to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills – SDET Test Lead

10+ years of experience in automation testing.

Strong programming background in Python or Java.

Proven experience in Selenium automation frameworks.

Expertise in API and Webservices testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter.

Deep understanding of STLC and Agile methodologies.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
