About the Role: Sr. Data Engineer – Bellevue, WA
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sr. Data Engineer to join our fast-paced team based in Bellevue, WA. This long-term W2 contract role will give you the opportunity to work on large-scale data ingestion, design scalable data architecture, and contribute to high-impact projects involving modern cloud-based data lakes and machine learning systems.
You’ll play a key role in designing and optimizing data pipelines from multiple sources, supporting both real-time streaming and batch processing systems, and helping our enterprise clients gain critical insights from structured and unstructured data.
Key Responsibilities of the Sr. Data Engineer
Build Scalable Data Pipelines

Design and develop efficient and scalable pipelines for ingesting data from both batch and real-time streaming sources.

Handle multi-modal data types including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured formats.
Data Quality and Monitoring

Implement data quality frameworks and monitoring tools to ensure consistent and reliable data delivery across all systems.

Proactively detect data anomalies and integrity issues before they impact operations.
Support Data Architecture and Modeling

Design logical and physical data models to meet analytics and reporting needs.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to create architecture that supports growth and data reuse.
Collaborate with Machine Learning Teams

Enable AI/ML workflows by ensuring that machine learning engineers and data scientists have fast, reliable, and secure access to data.

Create reusable data processing templates to support experimentation and deployment.
Who You Are: Qualifications and Skills
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or any data-focused discipline.

7+ years of hands-on development experience with SQL, Scala, Python, and Spark.

Deep experience with stream processing frameworks such as Flink or Beam.

Proven experience working with modern data lakes, including architecture that can support scaling by 100x.

Experience with structured and unstructured data and the tools to process them at scale.

Solid knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other major cloud providers.

Prior experience building pipelines for machine learning or analytics is highly desirable.

Ability to work onsite at the Bellevue headquarters and travel up to 50% when required.
Work Environment and Expectations
This is a full-time onsite position requiring collaboration at our Bellevue office. You’ll be working closely with internal stakeholders and external customers, which includes occasional travel based on project needs.
